I totally didn’t plan on it, but I’ve been wanting to share some of my all time favorite engagement photos, and today is wedding Wednesday and Valentine’s Day. Let’s admit it. It’s hard to pick a favorite when it’s your own work, right? There’s just this protective feeling about own work, but still there are a few images, I tend to pick more than others.
This gorgeous sunflower field engagement photo was taken up in Flagstaff, Arizona. I was NOT prepared for a rain up there that day, but seeing how gorgeous rain could be and stumbling upon this gorgeous location made it all heavenly. Amala and Ed totally embraced the rain and just had fun in it. I love it when my couples love to go with the flow and just have fun.
Elaine and Gilbert decided to drive all the out to Los Angeles from Phoenix for a fun beach engagement session. It was such a fun day hanging out on the beach. They enjoy being silly together, so all I asked was just be yourself and have fun and this is what happened after that.
Jackie and John’s engagement session was so fun! I know I said it before too, but it really was. We had so much fun that had no idea how we ended up spending over 3 or 4 hours at the fair. We got asked by many people if it was a shoot for a reality show. A part of me wanted to have fun with that idea. This image totally turned out better than I expected. We are trying to figure out how to pose and take the shot and several visitors just decided to help us out by moving the crowd out of our way. Then VOILA! I captured this romantic shot.
There’s a reason why I always prefer an hour before sunset for photo sessions. We can’t get this gorgeous light to turn a nice view into a gorgeous view any other time.
